WELCOME ASSOCIATION ITALY PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENT “SPORT AND INCLUSION: WE SAY NO TO DISCRIMINATION”

The event "Sport and Inclusion: let's say no to discrimination," sponsored by OSCAD with the support of sports and government institutions, was held today, March 27, 2025, at the CONI Hall of Honor. The meeting, moderated by Dr. Giuseppe Brindisi, featured introductory speeches by CONI President Giovanni Malagò and Police Chief Prefect Vittorio Pisani.

The initiative was divided into two thematic panels: the first dedicated to racial discrimination, with contributions from prominent speakers such as Fiona May (former internationally renowned athlete) and Prof. Laura Siliquini; and the second, focused on gender discrimination, with the participation of institutional and academic figures, including Prof. Nicoletta Marinelli and Dr. Maria Aperini.

Welcome Association Italy (WAI) took part in the event as a guest and auditor, reaffirming its commitment to promoting inclusion and integration in every sphere, including sports. WAI's presence was further evidence of how important collaboration between associations, institutions and the sports world is to counter all forms of discrimination, fostering a climate of respect and appreciation for diversity.
