Welcome Association Italy to the Russian House for the concert “Symphony of the Great Victory”

On the evening of Wednesday, April 23, Welcome Association Italy had the honor of being present at the prestigious concert "Symphony of the Great Victory," organized at the Russian House in Rome. The event was part of the calendar of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation and featured a performance by theContemporary Choral Music Ensemble "Altro Coro" of theRussian Academy of Music Gnesin, an artistic excellence of the Russian Federation.

Founded in 1895, the Gnesin Academy represents one of the leading hubs of international music education. The ensemble, made up of young talents from the choral department, performed an intense repertoire rich in historical and emotional significance, ranging from compositions by Shchedrin and Flyarkovsky to a suite of songs dedicated to memory and hope.

The evening opened with greetings from theAmbassador of the Russian Federation to Italy, and was masterfully conducted by the Director of the Russian House, Daria Pushkova, in an atmosphere of great artistic sensitivity and intercultural respect. Also present in the hall were numerous representatives of the international diplomatic corps, including the ambassadors of Egypt, Bolivia, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Nicaragua, confirming the high institutional value of the event.

The participation of the Deputy Secretary General of Welcome Association Italy, Carlo Palumbo, was a concrete sign of openness and listening to the Russian student community present in Italy, one of the most numerous and active within WAI's association network.

"Culture, when shared with respect and authenticity, is a natural bridge between people," said Palumbo.
"Events such as last night's not only enhance the Russian musical tradition, but provide an ideal context for strengthening the dialogue between cultural institutions and entities such as ours, which work every day for the inclusion and well-being of international students."

Welcome Association Italy would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the Russian House for its hospitality and the opportunity to participate in such a significant occasion, hoping that this presence may represent the beginning of a collaborative dialogue aimed at developing projects for the benefit of Russian students in Italy, helping to create for them a welcoming, appreciative and culturally alive environment.
