Meeting between Welcome Association Italy and ASVI: a step toward collaboration to support foreign nationals in Italy

Rome, Oct. 10, 2024 - An important meeting between the association and ASVI (Association of Vietnamese Students in Italy) was held yesterday, Oct. 9, 2024, at the headquarters of Welcome Association Italy. The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Secretary of Welcome Association Italy, Carlo Palumbo, and the President of ASVI, Vu Thi Bich Diep, was a significant moment of dialogue and discussion aimed at creating common synergies.

At the center of the discussion was the shared desire of both associations to work for the support and integration of foreign nationals in Italy, with a particular focus on the Vietnamese community. During the meeting, Palumbo and Vu Thi Bich Diep explored issues of common interest, including the need to offer information, guidance and practical assistance to those facing the daily challenges of living and studying in a foreign country.

"Welcoming and supporting those who decide to come to study or work in Italy is a priority for us," said Carlo Palumbo. "The dialogue with ASVI gives us the opportunity to strengthen our commitment and extend our network of assistance."

For his part, Vu Thi Bich Diep stressed the importance of collaboration with already established entities such as Welcome Association Italy. "Joining forces with associations that share our same goals allows us to amplify our impact and offer even more concrete support to our compatriots and all foreign students in Italy," said the ASVI Chairwoman.

The meeting concluded with the expression of mutual interest in collaborating on future projects in order to develop joint initiatives that can provide effective support to foreign students and workers in Italy. This first step lays the foundation for fruitful cooperation aimed at breaking down bureaucratic and cultural barriers that often hinder full integration.
