Welcome Association Italy present XXIII edition of the International Cultural Award Carthage 2.0

Rome, [19/04/2024] - The Deputy National Secretary of Welcome Association Italy, Carlo Palumbo, was invited to the awards ceremony for the prestigious Carthage 2.0 International Cultural Award, now in its XXIII edition. The event, at the majestic setting of Palazzo Valentini in Rome, brought together several prominent figures from the business, health, cultural, social and artistic arenas, celebrating the significant contributions of personalities involved in promoting issues relevant to the prize. The Carthage 2.0 International Prize aims to recognize those who have promoted culture and knowledge in different fields, contributing to the progress of peoples, the welfare of humanity and the pursuit of truth, freedom, justice and peace. The awardees are individuals who have distinguished themselves as an ideal bridge of culture between Mediterranean nations, underscoring the importance of activism and social engagement in the current global context. The invitation to attend this distinguished event came from Professor Foad Aodi, president of Co-mai and United to Unite. The collaboration between Welcome Association Italy and the United to Unite Association has as its cornerstone the common purpose of supporting foreign nationals, promoting integration, inclusion and acceptance of diversity. Those honored for their social and civic engagement include:
  • Belaitouche Kamel Eddine, vice president of the Arab World Community in Italy and Organizational Coordinator of the United to Unite Movement;
  • Nadir Aodi, Podiatrist and young entrepreneur, Coordinator of the New Generations and Youth Department of Amsi and United to Unite;
  • Gianni Lattanzio, Coordinator of the Institutional Relations Department of the United to Unite Movement and Member of the Scientific Committee of the Union for Italy School.
In the illustrious "Roll of Honor" of the Carthage Prize, many prominent names have been registered over the years, including: Lucio Dalla, Antonio Banderas, Jacque Diouf, Kofi Annan, Ennio Morricone, George Clooney, Giulio Andreotti, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Lino Banfi, Nicola Pietrangeli and many others. This network of personalities represents significant support for the spread of the culture of peace and solidarity.
