Ostia, Oct. 26 - Deputy Secretary of Welcome Association Italy, Carlo Palumbo, took part in the evening of the Vietnamese Student Festival, held on Oct. 26 in Ostia, to celebrate Vietnamese culture and support the Vietnamese student community present in Italy. Invited as a special guest thanks to its collaboration with the Association of Vietnamese Students in Italy (ASVI), Welcome Association Italy thus confirms its commitment to assisting foreign nationals, with special attention to student communities. The event,chaired by the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Italy, H.E. Duong Hai Hung, was an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties between W.A.I. and ASVI.
The evening opened at 6:30 p.m. with a convivial buffet hosted by ASVI featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes, followed at 8 p.m. by official registration and the start of the event at 8:15 p.m. During the institutional speeches, the Vietnamese Ambassador and ASVI President Vu Thi Bich Diep emphasized the crucial role of the association for Vietnamese students in Italy, who often face challenges related to language and bureaucratic barriers.
From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the festival got into full swing with a parade of traditional Vietnamese dresses and the finals of the "Charming Vietnam - Vietnamese Youth Shining In Europe" competition. Deputy Secretary Palumbo participated as a member of the jury, awarding prizes to some participants and helping to highlight the beauty of Vietnamese culture.
The evening then concluded with the Cultural Performance Competition, scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m., featuring young Vietnamese talents in a series of artistic performances representative of Vietnam's cultural richness.
This collaboration between Welcome Association Italy and ASVI has made it possible to consolidate an understanding aimed at the integration and support of foreign nationals in Italy, creating opportunities for mutual knowledge and understanding, and confirming the importance of initiatives that enhance cultural diversity and strengthen ties between countries.
