Rome, March 6, 2025 - Yesterday, March 5, 2025, an institutional event organized by theEmbassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to FAO on the anniversary of the passing of Comandante Hugo Chávez was held at the Pio XI Hall of Palazzo San Calisto, Piazza San Calisto, Rome.
The meeting was a time for reflection and insight into the politics of food sovereignty, eco-sustainability and social justice, issues of great relevance in the international arena.
Representing Welcome Association Italy was Deputy Secretary General, Carlo Palumbo, who attended the event at the invitation of the Venezuelan Embassy.

Speech by Minister Juan Carlos Loyo, head of Venezuela's Ministry of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, who outlined his country's commitment to ensuring equitable access to food and the role of agricultural policies in combating poverty and malnutrition.
Presentation of the book "Food and Nutrition: Thought and Work of Hugo Chávez," by Marilyn DiLuca Santaella, Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of Venezuela to the United Nations Agencies based in Rome.
