Welcome Association Italy participates in “Are you a global citizen” event in Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia, Sept. 14 - Welcome Association Italy (WAI) enthusiastically participated in the event "You are a Global Citizen," held at the Mauritian's headquarters in Reggio Emilia. The initiative, organized by MondoAttivo APS, aimed to promote greater intercultural understanding and integration of citizens of different nationalities through a theoretical-practical workshop on citizenship pathways and cultural maps.

The event saw the active participation of several local associations, including the Neighborhood Academy, represented by Maurizio Ientile, and the academic contribution of intercultural pedagogue Claudio Cernesi. During the evening, crucial topics related to global citizenship were discussed, with the aim of fostering more effective and conscious mutual interaction between people from different cultures.

A particularly meaningful moment was the workshop curated by MondAttivo APS, which offered participants concrete tools to reflect on how different cultural maps can influence mutual understanding and active participation in citizenship. The evening continued in an atmosphere of sharing, with an intercultural dinner featuring dishes from different African ethnic groups, which further helped to promote integration through food.
